In January, the group exhibition Daddy Issues opens, focusing on the role of the father. Through artworks that embrace the personal and intimate, the exhibition explores relationships with fathers while opening up space for individual reflection and collective perspectives on the significance of fatherhood.

From masculine ideals and confrontations with fatherhood, through poetic and humorous engagements with capitalist consumer culture, to questions of hope, courage and humanity in a time of war: Gammel Strand’s exhibition programme for 2026 offers new perspectives on significant artistic practices while resonating with the debates that preoccupy us as individuals and as a society.

In the art center’s basement you’ll find Lille Fugl – a cozy spot to enjoy coffee, natural wine, award-winning pastries and simple culinary small plates.
On the ground floor of Gammel Strand you’ll find our shop, where you can explore a handpicked selection of fiction, lithographs, posters, unique souvenirs and beautifully curated objects to take home.
