After the Sun portrays a generation of artists for whom artistic work and climate change are inextricably linked, offering an existential insight into how we as humans relate to nature.

Experience painting, photography, sculpture, video, photo installations, and performances by 20 young contemporary artists, whom we will be seeing much more of in the future.

The conversation continues

Over the next few months, Gammel Strand invites you to a series of conversations about art, nature, language, and more, as key figures from the exhibition After the Sun engage in dialogue with like-minded individuals. All conversations will be moderated by historian and journalist Christoffer Emil Bruun.

Mark your calendars and look forward to listening to, among others, artist Inuuteq Storch and professor of geology Minik Rosing.

In the art centers basement, you'll find Lille Fugl, which serves coffee, natural wine, award-winning baked goods, and simple culinary small dishes. On the ground floor, you'll discover a selection of handpicked fiction, exhibition catalogs, lithographs, and posters in Gammel Strand's bookstore.

When you purchase an entry ticket to the art hall, you'll receive a 10% discount at Lille Fugl (valid on the day), and if you're a member of Gammel Strand, you get a 10% discount at both the bookstore and the café.
