Over the next few months, Gammel Strand invites you to a series of conversations about art, nature, language and more, as some of the exhibition's key figures engage in dialogue with like-minded individuals. All conversations will be moderated by historian and journalist Christoffer Emil Bruun.

Join us as Professor of Geology at the University of Copenhagen, Minik Rosing, meets with artist Inuuteq Storch for a discussion on history, identity, and humanity's relationship with nature in the Nordic region.

Jonas Eika in conversation with Helga Christoffersen
Meet author Jonas Eika in conversation with curator of After the Sun, Helga Christoffersen. Eika will release his new book Åben Himmel at the end of October and received the Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2019 for his short story collection Efter Solen, which lends its name to Gammel Strand's current exhibition. The conversation will focus on how literature and contemporary art can help initiate new dialogues about our shared future.

Lea Porsager in conversation with Theis Ørntoft
Artist Lea Porsager will meet in conversation with author Theis Ørntoft. Based on Porsager's work in After the Sun and Ørntoft's writing, most recently the book Jordisk (2023), the discussion will revolve around human imagination, our relationship with resources, and how we engage with our collective history and the challenges of the future.
